Blackened NY Strip Steak
Ingredients:
2 ea 8-10 oz NY Strip Steak
1/3 C Spice Union Blackening Spice Blend
3 Tbsp Butter- melted

Bring a NY Strip Steak to room temperature.

Preheat a cast iron pan to high heat and preheat the oven to 325°F.

Brush both sides of the NY Strip Steak with melted butter.

Generously season both sides of the NY Strip Steak with Spice Union Blackening Spice Blend.

Place the steak in the cast iron pan and sear both sides for 1 minute each.

Place the steak (still in cast iron pan) in the preheated oven.

Turn steak over every 3 minutes.

Cook until desired doneness (internal temps: 120°F for rare, 130°F for med-rare, 140°F for medium).

Let the steak rest for 3-4 minutes before cutting.
